Elvana ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered habit coaching app built by Dhvanit Vaghela, an individual developer. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By using Elvana, you agree to this policy.

2.1 Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your Google profile identifier

2.2 Onboarding information

During setup, you provide:

• A nickname
• A monthly goal
• Daily habits (labels, times, flexibility)
• Your preferred motivation style
• A list of apps you want to use less

2.3 App usage data

Elvana uses Android's Accessibility Service and UsageStats API to detect when you open apps you have chosen to monitor. We collect:

• Which monitored app was opened
• How long you spent on it
• The time and date of each session

This data is used exclusively to deliver nudges and generate your personal analysis. We do not monitor any other apps, read your screen content, or collect keystrokes.

2.4 Behavioral data

We store:

• Your responses to overlay prompts (Work / Bored / Notification)
• Whether you acted on nudge notifications
• Your daily check-in answers
• Your chat conversations with Elvana

2.5 Device data

We collect:

• Your device's timezone (to schedule notifications at the right local time)
• Your Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token (to send push notifications)

We use your data solely to provide and improve Elvana's core features:

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the Elvana experience.

Elvana uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate personalized responses and nudges. Your data (habits, goals, app usage context) is sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing: anthropic.com/privacy ↗.

Your monthly goal and personal context are used as AI context but are never displayed publicly or shared with other users.

All your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS, ap-south-1 region). Row-level security ensures you can only access your own data. No other user can see your data.

Elvana uses Android's Accessibility Service exclusively to detect when you open an app you have chosen to monitor. We do not:

• Read the content of any app
• Record keystrokes or passwords
• Access messages, emails, or any personal content
• Monitor apps you have not added to your blocked list

The Accessibility Service runs only to detect foreground app changes and trigger the overlay at the right moment.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:

• Anthropic — for AI nudge and response generation (see Section 4)
• Supabase — for secure data storage
• Firebase (Google) — for push notification delivery
• Resend — for transactional emails (beta invite, check-in emails)
• Legal requirement — if required by law

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us (see Section 11). We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days of your request.

Elvana is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the app
